Casa Cerros

Casa Cerros, designed by LLANO Arquitectos, is a stunning architectural gem nestled in the Colombian Andes. Its distinctive triangular roofs mimic the shape of the nearby Tusa hill, creating a harmonious connection with the landscape. Built with concrete, foam, and cement layers, the roofs provide insulation from tropical heat, while high ceilings and mechanical windows ensure natural ventilation, reducing the need for artificial cooling.

The house features an open-concept layout with a vaulted wooden truss ceiling, offering panoramic views of lush greenery. Locally sourced materials, like yellow sand mixed with white concrete, give the home its warm, sand-colored finish, blending seamlessly with the environment. Expansive windows and shaded blinds balance natural light and heat control.

Outdoor terraces extend the living space into nature, while minimalist interiors with exposed beams and concrete walls create a cozy yet modern atmosphere. Casa Cerros reflects a new wave of Colombian architecture, sustainable, innovative, and deeply rooted in cultural identity.
