The Spook Who Sat by the Door is a 1973 action crime–drama film based on the 1969 novel of the same name by Sam Greenlee (which was first published in the UK by Allison and Busby after being much rejected in the US).

This movie was recommended by Pops back when he saw me working hard for the man and not really getting anything out of the deal but a lunch break and an attendance write up. The late Nipsey Hussle recommended this movie not too long before passing on an interview. The reason why is because they’re tons of gems in here and one thing that this movie taught me was to never forget where you come from. If you want to beat the opponent, you must first be the opponent. Also, the importance of helping your people. Building the culture. I don’t want to spoil it.
