Perched high in the Trousdale Estates, the 1705 Carla Ridge House redefines organic modern living with effortless sophistication. Designed by Sarah Rosenhaus in collaboration with Oliver Mateen, this 6,309-square-foot residence takes full advantage of its hillside perch, offering panoramic views of the Santa Monica Mountains, the Pacific Ocean, and the Los Angeles skyline.

The single-story design blends lime-washed plaster, travertine, and rich wood tones for a warm, grounded aesthetic. Curved walls, arched openings, and expansive glass bring in light while connecting the interiors to the serene landscape by Michelle Shofet, where olive trees and native grasses seamlessly integrate the home with its surroundings.

Inside, open spaces flow naturally, from the airy living room and double-sided fireplace to the gourmet kitchen and tranquil den. The primary suite continues the home’s soft, Mediterranean-inspired palette with textured fabrics, natural fibers, and a marble-framed fireplace overlooking the horizon.

With six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and a layout designed for quiet luxury, 1705 Carla Ridge is more than a home, it’s a study in restraint and balance. Listed at $14,995,000, this masterpiece showcases California modernism at its most soulful: refined, timeless, and perfectly attuned to the landscape.
