Grounded was created to help you disconnect and decompress through the appreciation of plants in the spaces we occupy at the convenience to your doorstep from a few clicks online.
From boosting your creativity and concentration, to reducing stress and purifying the air, the influence of plants within a given environment, has proven to be advantageous. Introducing plants to your space has the capacity to improve your health and overall happiness.
Grounded was created by Washington, D.C. and Alexandria, Virginia natives, Mignon Hemsley and Danuelle Doswell to help people disconnect and decompress through the delicate care and appreciation of plants in the spaces they occupy. Whether you’re a millennial or a boomer, the business was founded with a mission to elicit a sense of tranquility and mindfulness to fit the busy lifestyles of entrepreneurs, creatives, and professionals alike.
“As plant enthusiasts, Danuelle and I bonded over how therapeutic it is after our long days to take care of our plants and connect with nature. With so many technological advances and shifts, our society is overstimulated and anxious. Our goal is to help bring people back to earth and take their focus off of digital life for at least a few moments of the day,” said co-founder Mignon Hemsley.
“Grounded does not only seek to prove the immense benefits that plants in our spaces have for our mental and physical health but is a reminder of our roots. We think of our ancestors in heavily polluted major cities unwinding after their busy days and caring for their indoor jungles, to the ones in the rural south that cultivated gardens for survival with green thumb bragging rights,” stated co-founder Danuelle Doswell.
As the Earth continues to prove that healing is needed what better way to contribute than with plants. Plants are calming aesthetic to any environment and what these young lady’s are doing is what’s needed. Grab you a plant. Love it. Then get another one.
Grounded is set to launch today (Earth Day duh).
With the pandemic leaving the world a bit chaotic, the synergy between plants and humans is a natural progression in helping us to remain grounded.
