Creativity & Sustainability with Nicole McLaughlin
You think we have this need for more, more, and more. We shop online looking at the latest collections and sales. We spend precious time at thrift stores seeing what we can dig and discover. We even got to a point where we’re buying used clothes and shoes from people who just don’t like their shit anymore. Nicole Mclaughlin is actually doing the opposite. She’s remaking and reworking fashions we know today into other sustainable fashions we know today if that makes sense.
This cool creator takes material from literally anything you could think of and makes something cooler with them. Whether it’s a jacket or sandals (she has a knack for sandals), their sustainable pieces that people are dying to get their hands on. We dig more research and found an interview / bts with Depop (sell used clothing) where she explains her design process and inspiration. It’s inspired us to just make something today and we hope it does the same for you. There are no excuses – she literally uses gummy bear packaging to make shorts like cmon.
To Nicole, it’s nothing new.
You start dying when you stop dreaming.
