the leica ‘stealth edition’ monochrom camera glows in the dark for $15,000
Founder, CEO and creative director of rag & bone, Marcus Wainwright teams up with leica for a bespoke camera. the leica m monochrom special ‘stealth edition’ was designed by wainwright who is a dedicated leica photographer, shooting with various leica cameras. settings are engraved and highlighted using a fluorescent paint chosen especially for low-light usage.
minimal in appearance so to leave focus on specs, the camera is dressed in a sleek black casing. a special scratch-resistant, matte paint is used to make the surface finish as black as possible whilst the leather trim of the camera is made from an extremely smooth full-grain cowhide offering excellent grip.
a limited-edition amount of 125 of the leica M monochrom ‘steal edition’ will go on sale on march 20. it includes a summicron-M f/2 ASPH lens with the classic street photographer’s focal length of 35mm.
