IKEA Launches Dope New App That Lets You Try Furniture In Your Home Before Buying It

Augmented Reality is getting mentioned quite a lot recently, and it may seem like something that is still a while away, however, if you’ve got an iPhone you’ll have AR at your fingertips this fall.

IKEA is embracing the AR revolution, they’ve created a pretty cool new app called IKEA Place that lets you preview how pieces of furniture will look in your house simply by pointing your iPhone’s camera where you may want it. Genius!

Apple’s iOS 11 will bring with it AR Kit, which makes IKEA Place possible. iOS 11 is due for release around October, so watch it for the new app around then. In the meantime, check out some more of the app below.
