Adidas plan to make shoes in Germany again – using robots
Don’t say you didn’t saw this coming – it’s not much of a surprise at this point that humans will soon be replaced while robots take over the world. That’s what we see in the movies right? The real question is: Is this what we really want? Do we want to live in a world where we depend on robots? If people are getting paid way less than they should anyway – why do we care? Well, huge companies are preparing for the future and we should be aware of it. Adidas has announced it will start marketing its first series of shoes manufactured by robots in Germany from 2017. Adidas made 301m pairs of shoes in 2015 and needs to produce 30m more each year to reach its growth targets by 2020. Oh, and Nike is always developing the same technology. Hopefully, they can make enough Yeezy’s for everyone to get a pair. You start dying when you stop dreaming.
